Abortion doesn't take just ONE life.........
✡︎ Shabbat Shalom & Good Day ✡︎

Next week is Shavuot, when Jews will celebrate the transformative memory of experiencing Heaven on Earth, when the entire people of Israel, as well as the souls of all future generations of Jews, received the Torah at Mt. Sinai.

Our tradition teaches us that before Moshiach is allowed to reveal Himself, ALL Souls originally created by God and ultimately destined to come down into this world must be born. We lament the loss of so many souls whose journey was violently interrupted by abortion, and the harm done to their parents, our families and communities. We appeal to HaShem to heal our hearts, and encourage us to take actions that truly demonstrate the Torah's many directives designed to protect life and respect the Creator.
May this hasten the coming of Moshiach!

May you receive the Torah with joy and sincerity.

News of this crime story was released on May 3, 2021. Because we live near the city of Pittsburgh, we received many alerts about the heinous research activities at the U of Pittsburgh medical research lab. The video is disturbing, in our consciousness reminiscent of cruel and inhumane Nazi experiments done on death camp prisoners in the name of medical research. You may want to skip the graphic video, which someday ought to be used as evidence in a Nuremberg 2 trial to prosecute these crimes against humanity.

A reminder to check out The Conference of Jewish Affairs' New Jewish Exodus Project created by Rabbi Aryeh Spero. The project seeks Jews who chose to leave or have been asked to leave their shul over irreconcilable political differences. A sincere thank you to Rabbi Spero who has welcomed our participation, giving us an opportunity to share our pro-life sentiments in a friendly Jewish forum.

Attention physicians in training and nursing students!

The 2021 Arete Medical Ethics Summer Seminar (Virtual) is scheduled June 7 - June 8. The organizers reached out to us for a special invitation for Jewish participation. The seminar invites students to examine the central ethical questions that arise in the everyday practice of medicine and to interpret those questions through a moral framework drawing from both natural law and medicine’s traditional orientation toward the patient’s health.
If you are Jewish and a medical or nursing student, please contact the Kenan Institute of Ethics at Duke University to apply for this virtual seminar, Check out the details at

We continue to upload last year's Jewish Pro-Life Show audio tracks to our podcast platform. Episode 43, The Day in Jewish History When Israel Legalized Abortion, looks at this day in Jewish history when three of the ten martyrs who are commemorated in special Yom Kippur prayers were killed.

We explore the idea of righteous martyrdom in the context of Jewish law, which usually forbids destroying human life and preserving it at all costs. However, Jewish law finds that a Jew must sacrifice his or her life rather than succumb to idolatry, sexual sin or murder. So, it seems that Jewish abortionists who commit murder in the form of abortion have a reckoning to face.

Events in Jewish history lists include the most impactful happenings in the chronicled development of Judaism. The absence of legal abortion legislation in Israel on these lists needs to be rectified because the Jewish lives lost to legal abortion in Israel has and continues to have a huge impact on the demographic, social, financial and spiritual evolution of Jewish culture and religion.

We turn to a 1977 archived story in the NYT reporting on the legalization of abortion in Israel. It describes a society already deeply steeped in the death culture, which explains in part the current lack of interest in Israeli society and politics to address the issue.

Prayers for Forgiveness of Abortion

God, remember Your mercies and Your kindnesses, for they are from the beginning of the world. Remember us, GOD, with favor for Your people; recall us with Your salvation. Remember Your congregation which You acquired of old, the tribe of Your heritage which You redeemed, this Mount Zion where You dwelt. GOD, remember the affection for Jerusalem, do not forget the love of Zion until eternity, Arise, and have mercy for Zion, for it is the time to be gracious to her, for the appointed time has come, GOD, remember the day of Jerusalem against the Edomites, who said, "Raze it, raze it to its very foundation!" Remember Abraham, Isaac and Israel Your servants, to whom You swore by Your very Self and You said to them: "I will increase your offspring like the stars of heaven, and this entire Land of which I spoke I will give to Your offspring and they will inherit it forever." Remember Your servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; do not turn to the obstinacy of this people, to its wickedness and to its sin. Please do not reckon to us a sin that which we did foolishly. We have sinned, our Rock, forgive us, our Creator. Selicot According to Chabad Custom
