Take 3 Steps to Fight Viruses This Season

CDC anticipates that multiple viruses will spread this fall and winter, including COVID-19, influenza, and RSV. The CDC’s Take 3 Campaign provides resources on the actions you can take to protect yourself from respiratory illness this season.

  1. Get vaccinated.
  2. Take CDC- recommended preventive actions like covering coughs and sneezes, frequent hand hygiene, and staying home when sick.
  3. If you have symptoms, talk to your health care professional about getting tested. There are treatments available and antiviral drugs work best when started early. Now is the time to take action to protect your health this busy season!

Visit our Immunization Resources page for tools that will support your vaccine efforts. It’s Worth A Shot!

COVID-19 Hospitalizations, ED Visits and Deaths Increase

The greatest number of COVID-19 cases continue to be seen in adults 75 years and older.

Long-term care facilities are seeing an increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases, reporting 12.5/1000 cases for the week ending November 19.

Vaccination remains a vital tool to protect public health. One dose of the updated 2023-2024 Moderna, Pfizer, or Novavax vaccine is required for individuals to be considered up to date.

You can make a difference. Help keep your community safe and healthy. Remember to WAVE - ask "What About Vaccines?" at Every Encounter.
