In the early 1970’s the singer/songwriter ruled the radio. Carole King, Jackson Browne, Joni Mitchell, Cat Stevens…but the era’s ultimate power couple were husband and wife James Taylor and Carly Simon.

Using performance and interview clips we’ll trace the arc of their careers from “Fire and Rain” and “You’re So Vain” to “Shower the People” and “Coming Around Again.” The marriage didn’t last, but the hits sure have! In honor of its 50th Anniversary special attention will be given to Carly’s #1 hit “You’re So Vain.”

Presented by popular music expert Gary Wenstrup.

New Computer Lab Resources

New to the Computer Lab is the ability to convert audio cassettes to digital files. Bring in your old cassettes of family interviews, music, and more and digitize them to safely archive and share.

Don't forget, if you're at the library and forgot a cable (iPhone, USB, USB2, USB3), we have them to borrow in the Computer Lab and the Adult Reference Desk. See them with any questions you have!

As always, check our calendar or the the October/November almanac to see exciting programming available for all ages!

Wi-Fi Extended throughout Parking Lot

BPL has installed an exterior Wi-Fi antenna to our building so that our Wi-Fi signal now extends throughout our parking lot and Gazebo area. Residents without home Wi-Fi may now use this resource for remote learning, downloading of eBooks, audiobooks, magazines and more. We have designated the back row of our parking lot as the official Drive-Up Wi-Fi location and is signed as such. Please remember to keep up social distancing rules. Remember that this is a parking lot that is still used by the Village of Bloomingdale and others, so observe all safety precautions as normal. Wi-Fi is available 6:00am to 11:45pm every day.
