Hello NTS shoppers! The holidays have arrived and NOVA Thrift Shop is the place for anyone looking for that perfect gift. We’ve included a gift giving guide in this month's newsletter for anyone that needs a little extra help! And for those already making their New Year’s resolution to clean out their closet or home, our intake area is ready for you and all your donations!

NOVA THRIFT SHOP UPDATES

NOVA Thrift Shop will be closed December 24-26th for the Christmas holiday. We will also be closed on January 1, 2024.

NTS is in need of volunteers! If you are looking for a fun and rewarding place where you can help make a difference, NOVA Thrift is the place! We offer flexible shifts and hours and provide training to all new volunteers. If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, please contact the shop at 215-249-8000.

When donating a phone or smart watch to NTS please be sure to factory reset it before bringing it in. We cannot do anything with the electronics unless they are wiped clear!

CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT

Emma has been shopping at NOVA Thrift Shop for a handful of years. Her favorite part about the shop is our bag section but she loves the shoe department just as much. Thank you Emma for your continued support of NOVA Thrift!

SUSTAINABILITY SERIES

As promised, here is a list of gift ideas from NOVA Thrift Shop! When you thrift a gift, you are not only helping our environment but you are also supporting NOVA and our programs and services to support victims of crime and stop violence in our community. Please note that the items pictured may have sold at the time of this newsletter’s publication; however, NTS is filled with fun and unique items that will make any gift special!

A gift for the family bookworm!

Go to town in our book section and find the perfect book for everyone on your list. From children’s books to history to best sellers, NTS has it all! Wrap it up and make it a blind date, write a short description about the book you choose for them! Gift one or stack them up, add a fun bow and there you have it: The perfect gift for any bookworm.

A gift for the in-laws!

Select a few fun glasses from our glassware section and maybe another fun item like a decanter! Then head to the back of the store to find the perfect basket. Look through the craft department for a fun fabric sample to add to the bottom of the basket. Lastly, add your beverage of choice.

A gift for a cozy night in!

Head to our linen department and find the comfiest blanket there is. Next, look for some fun bowls to hold the popcorn and mugs for the hot chocolate. Finally, head over to our DVD section to pick out a few movies. To add the perfect touch to this basket, go out and grab a few fun snacks to include!

A gift for the coffee lover!

Pick out the perfect mug(s) to include in this basket. Maybe you even add a french press like we did! Or instead you could add a coffee grinder or coffee spoons/saucers. Lately, add your favorite blend from your local coffee shop!

A gift for him!

Browse through the racks of men’s clothing to pick out the perfect top. We opted for a nice button up and then headed to the tie section. Have fun picking out a few ties to go along with the shirt.

A gift for her!

NTS is full of fun accessories, so why not make a gift out of them? Start in our jewelry department and pick out a few of your favorite pieces. Next, head over to the bag wall to pick out the perfect bag. Finally, add a few scarves and maybe even a fun hat! Put it all in a nice box, wrap it up and place it under the tree for the big day!

The perfect stocking stuffers!

NOVA Thrift Shop is full of small and funky items that will make the perfect small gifts or stocking stuffers. Just grab a basket and browse the aisels until something catches your eye. Here are a few ideas to inspire you!

Visit NOVA’s tree at the Pearl S. Buck House all month long!

The Festival of Trees House Tour located at the Pearl S. Buck House is open to the public from now through January 7^th. Stop by to see NOVA's tree located in the library by the stairs that honors our work serving victims of crime in Bucks County for the past 50 years. Learn more about the Festival of Trees HERE!
