May 23, 2023

Dear Saint families,

It is time to celebrate the end of the 22-23 school year!  I wish you all a wonderful summer break filled with rest, relaxation, and family fun!  I can’t wait to see your pictures on our social media celebrating as ONE community of saints! On behalf of the entire StJPII faculty and staff, thank you for your support throughout this year. Being a part of StJPII is an honor and blessing for which we are extremely grateful. Please join me in keeping our class of 2023 in your prayers as we celebrate their graduation Mass and ceremony tomorrow - another truly beautiful tradition that allows us to pray and share in their accomplishments over the last 10 years as StJPII saints!  May you and your family have a safe and happy summer!

SOAR

Beautify the Bucket Contest

6th & 7th grade SOAR Design students had a great time and learned SO much about Galveston & the upper Texas coast while participating in Beautify the Bucket Contest sponsored by Artist Boat! Artist Boat is an organization that helps preserve coastal areas along Galveston Island through education, art, and outreach activities. The students selected this project for their 4th quarter passion project and loved that their work. The barrels were blank canvases that the students prepared and painted based on themes around oceans, bays, and entertainment along the Galveston beaches. The girls love that their decorated barrels will provide a service to help keep Galveston beaches clean! The buckets can be seen in person during the Artist Boat World Oceans Day Festival on June 10th on R.A. Apffel Beach Park, East Beach, Galveston. Find out more about the Festival by clicking the button below.
