You are a saint.

November 1st, All Saints Day is a wonderful reminder that in Christ, by grace through faith we can all rejoice in sainthood. Lost and condemned sinners are sainted in Jesus whose wounds were bore for our sins, whose robe of righteousness we wear proudly today. We didn’t earn the robe, we didn’t buy it either, Jesus gave us that robe so we might wear his righteousness as a proud saint.   It brings great comfort that our loved ones, those who believed in Jesus who died before us, are sainted as well. Though they too were sinners, Christ saved them too.

Don’t believe it?

Saint Peter denied Christ not once, not twice, but three times! Saint Peter went so far to say “I don’t know the man!” Yet Jesus sought him at the lake fishing, restored him, and sainted him. Yep, that’s Saint Peter. Moses committed murder - homicide! Yet Jesus sainted him. The Apostle Paul’s sole purpose was to destroy Christ’s church. So determined in his way he stood in full approval of Stephen’s stoning. Yet Jesus sainted him. Mary was demon-possessed, Martha worried, and Zacchaeus cheated, yet all of them were saved and sainted.

So are you. How do you know? Created anew in Christ, you too receive what Peter, Moses, Paul Mary, Martha, and Zacchaeus did. By grace through faith, Jesus claims you, cleanses you, and saints you.

This All Saints Day, I encourage you to celebrate, but not as a spectator, celebrate as a saint!

See you Sunday I can't wait!

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Please pray for. . .

  • Pat Eddings. Thanks and praise be lifted for good recent medical test results.

  • Israel. Lord, we ask that you continue to protect and provide for Israel, but we also pray for justice. Thank you, Lord, for always hearing the cry of your people.
