Manitoba Government Providing $400,000 to Strengthen the Viability and Accessibility of Folklorama |

The Manitoba government is supporting the province's largest multicultural festival and major tourist attraction by providing $400,000 in funding to the Pavilions of Folklorama.
The province is providing $300,000 to help support the Folklorama Pavilions participating this year, as well as those who participated in 2019 but are not yet able to return for this year’s 51st edition. As well, $100,000 will be used to offset the admission price of the 9:45 p.m. shows on Monday and Tuesday nights to help boost attendance by reducing ticket costs.
The investment provided will help reignite our member communities and their programming that may have been on pause due to the pandemic, and ensure our rich ethno-cultural history is preserved into the future. Thank you Hon. Andrew Smith, Minister of Sport, Culture and Heritage and the Manitoba Government!

There is still time to sign up to volunteer for Folklorama - whether you want to support a favourite Pavilion by lending a helping hand in the kitchen or volunteer in the Folklorama office and at events outside of the Festival. Our volunteers are crucial to the success of the Festival, and we'd love to have you join us!

Chai Folk Ensemble Concert: 'A Great Light' |
This year, Chai will be launching a brand new album, the first in over ten years. This record will represent Winnipeg’s Jewish community, from those who have been here for generations to those who have just arrived.
In addition to the recording, this project will feature a full-length performance of the album through both song and dance.
