6th Street SW

Construction Update | 10-12-22

Permanent pavement markings for the entire length of the project and permanent signage on the east side of the project area were placed last week. Additionally, Alliant Energy has installed most of the new street lights.

Remaining work includes:

  • Construct remaining sidewalks and ADA ramps
  • Finish grading and sodding
  • Activate the new pedestrian signals at 29th Avenue
  • Install handrails at two retaining walls
  • Final adjustments as needed

We expect to complete all project work by late October or early November.

As always, if you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our project team.

Thank you for your input.
