Hi Mia,

I am proud to support the California Green New Deal. Our success at mitigating the climate crisis will have a far-reaching impact on many other issues that are important to our communities, such as health, housing, education, racial justice, and even COVID. To this end, I'm extraordinarily proud and grateful to have earned the endorsements of so many environmental organizations:

I'd also like to share a portion of an email from the Solar Rights Alliance endorsing our campaign - their FIRST campaign endorsement ever:

"In sharp contrast with the incumbent, Mia has demonstrated herself - in both words and action - to be a vocal supporter of your right to make solar energy without unreasonable interference by the utility.

  • In her written responses to our Candidate Questionnaire, Mia is against a Solar Tax and is in favor of ensuring that rooftop solar continues to pencil out for middle and working class households. Mia also supports maintaining protections for existing solar users.
  • Mia publicly opposed last year's Utility Profit Grab bill (AB 1139, co-authored by her opponent).
  • Mia marched side-by-side with thousands of solar users and workers in January to protest the CPUC's Solar Tax proposal.
  • Mia was one of hundreds of solar users who waited for hours to provide one minute of public comment to the CPUC."

My opponent is the 14th largest recipient of utility-industry donations since 2017, out of 120 lawmakers. This kind of dirty money is what keeps establishment politicians in office. It's time we take BOLD ACTION to solve our climate crisis. And to do that, we need to vote out establishment politicians who are beholden to the fossil fuel and utility lobbies

Meanwhile, I accept zero contributions from utility and fossil fuel lobbyists or organizations. Our campaign for a Cleaner & Greener California is entirely dependent on grassroots donations. It's an unfortunate reality that without grassroots donations, we don't have the resources to win this race. And we are SO CLOSE to pulling ahead of my opponent.

Winning this race is well within reach. We need you to help get us there. 25 days to go.
