Parent Teacher Conference Sign Up Goes Live Tomorrow at 5 PM!

As previously communicated, Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on the following dates:

Thursday, November 16th- 4:30-7:30 PM

Friday, November 17th- 12:20 PM to 2:40 PM (*this is a HALF DAY for students. All students will be dismissed at 11:30 AM)

Please be reminded that Parent Teacher Conferences will be VIRTUAL as per the DOE labor agreement with the UFT.

Families will be able to register for parent teacher conferences and locate the Zoom links online. The links will go live tomorrow at 5 PM. An email will go out with the sheet described below tomorrow at 5 PM, which will include the sign up links.

On the left hand side of the form, you will find the links needed to register for the conferences. House teams are listed as one link, while math and elective teachers have individual links. Please be sure that you are aware of your child's teachers names when registering and searching for the appropriate Zoom links.

On the right hand side, you will find the Zoom links for the conferences to be used at the time of your meetings. Please note that these links will be added to the sheet as the dates for parent teacher conferences approach.

SHSAT Administration for Eighth Graders in Next Wednesday, November 8th!

As communicated in previous messages, eighth graders that have registered to take the SHSAT will take the exam at MS 104 next Wednesday, November 8th during the school day.

ALL eighth grade student should report to their homeroom classes at 8:20 AM as usual. Students who are taking the exam will then be sent to their assigned testing rooms, while students not taking the exam will be sent to their assigned classrooms for the morning. Students can also find these classroom assignments on the Eighth Grade Google Classroom.

Students that are not taking the test will remain in an assigned classroom for the morning. Their content teachers will report to their classroom for regular instruction while their other classmates are taking the exam.

All students that have completed the exam will follow their regular schedules after lunch. Students taking the exam that have extended time and are still testing will be provided with the time they are permitted to complete the exam.

No student may leave school before 2:40 PM unless they are picked up by a guardian.

¡Administración de SHSAT para estudiantes de octavo grado el próximo miércoles 8 de noviembre!

Como se comunicó en mensajes anteriores, los estudiantes de octavo grado que se hayan registrado para tomar el SHSAT tomarán el examen en MS 104 el próximo miércoles 8 de noviembre durante el día escolar.

TODOS los estudiantes de octavo grado deben presentarse a sus clases principales a las 8:20 a.m. como de costumbre. Los estudiantes que tomen el examen serán enviados a sus salas de examen asignadas, mientras que los estudiantes que no tomen el examen serán enviados a sus aulas asignadas por la mañana. Los estudiantes también pueden encontrar estas tareas de clase en Google Classroom de octavo grado.

Los estudiantes que no tomen el examen permanecerán en un salón de clases asignado durante la mañana. Sus maestros de contenido se presentarán en su salón de clases para recibir instrucción regular mientras sus otros compañeros toman el examen.
