Description:


Sandtray therapy is an integrative form of play therapy practice that is used with non-directive therapy, using a physical or digital sandbox with figures called miniatures. This training is designed for those new to sandtray, and provides an explanation of how this form of symbolic communication in the sand can bring about healing. Participants will learn how to conduct this modality through digital medium.  


Objectives:


  • Define sandtray therapy and compare theoretical perspectives with non-directive play therapy
  • Compare three distinct genre of sandtray therapies
  • Identify the four “Therapeutic Powers of Play” as a foundation for therapy goals and rationale   for clinical use of sandtray techniques 
  • Demonstrate the therapeutic process and protocols for using digital medium 
  • Analyze three clinical indicators of thematic material and assessment of progress in sandtray

Written notification of cancellation must be received in our office at least 10 business days prior to a training for a refund. A $25.00 cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund. There will be no refund for cancellation notification less than 10 business days.


CBPS reserves the right to cancel a training due to inclement weather or insufficient enrollment. In the event of such cancellation, you will receive a full refund.
