We Are Going!
Faith Development News Letter
In Faith
This is a congregation that gathers in faith.
Not faith in one religion or one god or any one way.
We gather in faith of the power of diversity, the power of love, and the hope of a world transformed by our care.
We gather in faith in ourselves and those around us.
Not a faith that requires perfection or rightness in one another.
Rather, a faith that in our shared imperfection we may learn to stumble and fall together.
Faith that we will help one another to rise and to try again and again.
We are Unitarian Universalists.
Greetings Families of FUUSB,
The theme for March is Renewing Our Faith and I am hoping we can experience some of that renewal together, maybe even in person!
We have one more Zoom Family Chapel scheduled this month, and an informal outdoor gathering, but we are also beginning to plan some limited indoor, embodied events. Youth group are scheduling indoor meetings (though hikes and periodic fires at Rock Point have been so good that they will continue as well); up to 50 people can gather for worship in the Sanctuary; and Margo and I are trying to imagine what programming for children and families can look like this spring.
We will be reaching out to different groups of you with questions as we work all of this out, but please don't feel you need to wait for us to ask. Let us know what your dreams are for FUUSB as we emerge from what feels like a two-year winter!
In Faith,
Erika

FUUSB Camping Trip
June 10-12, 2022 Camping at Elmore State Park
I know it may seem early to start making plugs for June, but we are hoping to revive this beloved FUUSB tradition that took a hiatus during the pandemic and the best campgrounds fill up fast!
Join other members of the congregation (not limited to families with children) in a whole different setting. We'll deepen our connection to each other while having fun in the fresh air. Friday night we share a potluck feast, there's swimming, hiking, kayaking, campfires and s'mores aplenty. We'll even fit in a little al fresco worship.
Seven families have reserved sites already, and Faith Development is holding several other sites(spreadsheet here.) Consider booking a site now. The most one can lose for cancelling a reservation if something comes up is 18$, and likely we can find another family to fill your spot. If you want one of the sites we've already set aside, or for more information, contact erika@uusociety.org otherwise make a reservation with Vermont State Parks and then let Erika know!
