Question of the week

Q: How much money do people make at the workshop and other Firelands Local jobs? Can anyone work there?

A: Firelands Local pays at least $10.11 per hour. That means that a worker that reports to a shift at the workshop at 9 am and works until the 11:30 am lunch break makes a little bit more than $25.25 (before taxes). If they work again from 12 pm until 2:30 pm, they make another $25.25-- or $50.50 for the day.

And yes-- the offer is open to anyone-- but it's real work. The only way Firelands Local can afford to pay this much is the group hits their goals. And if you are someone that uses CLI staff support during work with Firelands Local, then Ohio's rules say that this needs to be real work training to help you learn real world skills.
