Updated Hall of Fame Nomination Criteria

The NAC recently approved changes to the documents needed for Coach and Athlete Hall of Fame nominations. Required nomination materials must be submitted by July 15, 2023 and now include:

1. Official nomination form
2. Current high-resolution photo
3. Two letters of recommendation*
4. A letter from the individuals supporting the nomination

*The letters of recommendation must be thorough and include the title and signature of the individual who wrote the letter. It must also be submitted on letterhead if the individual is employed by a college or university.

New Episodes of The Room Available

In the new episodes of The Room, Dr. Katie Ervin, Benedictine College student-athletes, and athletic trainers talk about how to build strong teams and work together. The panel discussed interpersonal skills, silos, collaboration, creativity, negotiation, persuasion, reasoning, and lateral thinking.

Recruitment Waivers from Closing Institutions

The NAIA is saddened to learn of the recent closures of several member institutions. Out of concern for the affected student-athletes, these institutions have issued waivers of traditional recruiting restrictions to enable these students-athletes to find new NAIA homes. More details can be found here.



Membership Value: Did You Know?

National Student Clearinghouse

Did you know that the eligibility center (EC) partnered with the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) to ease the transcript request process for transfer students seeking initial eligibility? Through this partnership, the EC requests transcripts on behalf of the student-athletes if their former schools are NSC customers, saving students both time and money. So far in 2022-23, NSC transcripts arrived to the EC an average of four days faster than non-NSC transcripts and the EC has saved transfer students about $10,000 in transcript request fees.
