Looking for something to do this Mother's Day weekend? The Canadian Tulip Festival is back May 12th to 22nd!

Join thousands of Canadians and tourists from across the globe and take in the 306,000 tulips at Dow's Lake and daily activities happening at the 71st Canadian Tulip Festival, including:

  • Blacklight Boardwalk: With over a thousand tulips displayed under Ultraviolet Light, this fun and funky attraction allows guests to experience the flowers through the eyes of a bee or butterfly.
  • *New Sound and Light Show: Immersing the audience in the Battle of the Atlantic, this show tells the stories of HMCS Ottawa and HMCS Haida through the dramatic use of lighting, sound, and water effects.
  • Byward Mini-Market: Ottawa Markets is hosting the Byward Mini-Market in the park with a selection of artisans offering handcrafted tulip-themed merchandise. This is an excellent opportunity to shop locally for one-of-a-kind finds.
  • Movies in the Park: Chartwell's Movies in the Park offers free showings of popular films at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm every day.
  • And so much more!

The Ottawa Board of Trade has deep roots with the iconic festival, with the first Tulip Festival founded in 1953 by world-renowned photographer Malak Karsh and led by the OBOT. We're excited for the launch of this year's festival and look forward to continued partnership with the Canadian Tulip Festival.
