A Campus for the Creative Spirit
Hello from LOLA Arts!
Spring? Is that you in the air?..

The sun is out! The temps are in the 40’s! Snow and ice are melting! Early spring is (almost) in the air. I know, I know..we still have some winter left and March is generally snowy. But this week is going to be beautiful and the sunshine feels amazing. There is something so renewing and refreshing about spring. I’ve been doing some landscape oil painting in my spare time but confined to a studio space. This warmer weather has me itching to get outside and do some actual plein air painting. I need to see rich, muddy browns and delicate green buds in person. I need that ultra-white flash of a reflection in a puddle. I need sunshine on my face.

As we look forward to warmer weather, we do already have summer on our minds at LOLA. We are searching for Summer Arts Interns. It’s a PAID internship with FREE housing, teaching classes in the arts. If you know of a college kid who loves the arts and wants to spend a memorable summer in Land O’ Lakes, send 'em our way!
