YIPPEE for Professional Learning
Designed in collaboration with the KSU Center for Educational Technology, this program invites K-12 educators to create a lesson plan using resources available on YIPPEE. All participants are eligible for a $200 stipend upon completion of the course and will earn a certificate of 15 contact hours or the option for graduate credit.

The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship's (NFTE) World Series of Innovation invites young people to get involved in solving some of the biggest challenges humanity faces today and advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals. 🎉Televised Coverage of Bruner 21st CCLC After-School Program🎉
We are excited to feature the STEM Science Club at Lucille Brunner Elementary School in our program spotlight! The STEM Science Club is one of their super excelling After-School Clubs. We are proud of the amazing work they are doing and the skills they are developing. Keep up the great work!
Some activities they have done include:
- Smashing Geodes with our Nevada Geology unit, including an Archaeologist special guest speaker
- Evolutionary arms race unit with a guest speaker that brought in an axolotl and bearded dragon
- Currently wrapping up a series on volcanoes, making their own plaster models which will be painted and “exploding” soon

Building Belonging in Afterschool Staff Teams
Belonging might look and feel different in different corners of your program or organization. Most people will never speak up and say they don't feel like they belong, because of a primal fear of additional exclusion. The bottom line is that belonging is HARD. It is up to us to actively disrupt mindsets, behaviors, and policies that implicitly or explicitly exclude, devalue, or harm the human beings who work with and for us. There are some things you can do right away to build belonging in your team, even now when things might feel impossible.
