November will end this series of foyer groups. Keep your eye out for spring signups beginning in December for new January-March groups.
FROM THE ASSOCIATE RECTOR
My journey towards priesthood began with my response to the call to the Episcopal church in March of 2016. I was not an Episcopalian at that time. Two priests agreed to walk alongside me as shepherds towards confirmation and to prepare me for a journey that would not only change my career as a Professor of Music but would also change my life. September 28, 2016, I was confirmed at Saint Augustine’s University Chapel. I found a church home, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, in Greensboro, North Carolina and began training as a Chalicist, Lay Eucharistic Visitor, and a member of the Altar Guild. After being grounded in the Catechism, deep and intentional examination, and experiencing the Episcopal faith tradition in numerous Episcopal worship spaces, I was accepted to further my education, deepen my spiritual and biblical understanding at Virginia Theological Seminary in fall of 2020. By the time of my graduation from seminary in June 2023, my relationship with God, the Holy Scriptures, family, friends, and the world had shifted greatly. There was no doubt that I was on the right path to fulfill the call to serve and love God and the people of God in ordained ministry.
It is with a grateful heart that I make this announcement that upon the recommendation of the Commission on Ministry and the Standing Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina, my ordination to the Sacred Order of the Priesthood has been approved. Bishop Frank Logue, of the Diocese of Georgia has agreed to ordain me on the behalf of Bishop Samuel Rodman of the Diocese of North Carolina at Saint Paul’s Church in Augusta, Georgia on December 16, 2023, at 11:00am. All are welcome to celebrate this very special occasion with me. Please be on the lookout for an invitation from The Reverend Dr. Eric Biddy in the near future. In the meantime, please mark your calendars!
In Christ,
Kimberly+

ZOOM Book Study
Tuesdays, 7:30 PM,
Grateful: The Subversive Practice of Giving Thanks led by Barbara Coleman.
“Every day there are reasons not to be grateful. Terrible, distressing, painful, and awful things happen all the time. Yet gratitude is a defiance, of sorts, the defiance of kindness in the face of anger, of connection in the face of division, and of hope in the face of fear. Gratefulness does not acquiesce to evil–it resists evil.”
Books are available in the Narthex on Sunday and in the parish office during the week. $20 donation. Sign up on the website, so that we can forward class schedules and updates.

Walk for Water
November 18, 2023, 9 AM
CSRA Walk for Water returns this year and once again Saint Paul's is the midway point of the walk. We're excited to support this event and invite you to join this important work. More information can be found on our website here.
The Walk for Water puts a creative twist on the typical “fundraising walk.” On the morning of Saturday, November 18, we expect six hundred people to walk, carrying empty buckets, from the SRP Park baseball field in North Augusta to Saint Paul’s parking lot by the River Walk, where they will fill their buckets and begin the return trek along the river. This walk connects us with the trek billions make every single day to carry home untreated water for basic subsistence.
You can support this event by creating a walking team, volunteering to serve as hospitality at Saint Paul's, or giving to our team. For more information contact Elisabeth Price.
This year provides an extra challenge: Manna Pantry will also be working Nov. 18, so extra hands will be very welcome!
