Head shot of Terri Neil
As we embark on a New Year, with hopes for good health and prosperity, it saddens me to say goodbye to 2021 - which saw so much change for the organization. We relocated, hosted an open house and of course celebrated our 75th Anniversary which culminated with the Eye Ball on December 2. What an amazing night! We recognized so many important people who were so significant in our 75 year history (the committee, the volunteers, the board, the sponsors and award recipients), however, I have one more person that I simply must recognize - the mastermind behind the Eye Ball…Terri Neil, Director of Marketing and Development.

Terri came to the Lighthouse in January of 2020 and hit the ground running, she helped rebrand the organization with a new logo and tagline, she researched and wrote several new grants, including a PPP loan, she researched our 75-year donor history for recognition on our beautiful new donor wall and and oversaw Lighthouse’s Open House/Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

If that were not enough she created a new event, The Pop Up-Scale Boutique and of course the Eye Ball. She also nominated the Lighthouse for the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches Athena Award for excellence in Women Leadership, which I am proud to say we were selected as a finalist. She also nominated Donte Mickens, Lighthouse Board Chair, for Palm Beach Illustrated Magazine’s 100 most influential business leaders. He was selected as a recipient in the ‘Advocates and Advisors’ area of influence.

Terri also spearheads the Lighthouse’s annual appeal(s) and publication of the Annual Report, as well as directs all of the marketing initiatives including the website, newsletter, social media, collateral materials and all public relations.

Terri has done a tremendous job in a short amount of time and we are so happy to have her on board and to see what exciting event plans she has for 2022!
