Amanda Laszutko
Senior Vice President, Brookfield Asset Management
Amanda Laszutko is a Senior Vice President in Brookfield’s Infrastructure Group. In this role, Ms. Laszutko is responsible for capital raising, co-investments, investor relations and other strategic initiatives for Brookfield’s private infrastructure funds. Prior to re-joining Brookfield in 2022, Ms. Laszutko was a member of the investment team at OMERS Infrastructure, where she was responsible for originating and executing investment opportunities, as well as the asset management of existing portfolio companies. She served a similar role at Brookfield previously after beginning her career at PwC. Ms. Laszutko holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University and the Chartered Professional Accountant designation.
Laura Ryan
Vice President, RBC
Laura is responsible for sourcing and executing junior capital investments and minority equity co-investments for RBC Capital Partners. Prior to joining the Capital Partners team, Laura worked in both the Capital Markets Asset Based Lending and Corporate Client Group Finance teams within RBC. In her role on the ABL team, Laura’s focus was on underwriting and syndicating committed financing to support private-equity backed LBO transactions primarily supporting the Building Products & Industrials coverage team in New York. In her role on the Corporate Client Group Finance team, Laura worked on a variety of senior debt transactions supporting a diverse client base of mid-market companies. Prior to joining RBC, Laura was a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Audit & Assurance practice. Laura holds a Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and is a CPA, CA.
Liqiao Zhang
Portfolio Manager, CPP Investment
Liqiao is an accomplished Portfolio Manager at CPP Investment, specializing in managing multi-asset vol portfolios. She began her career at Scotiabank in 2012 as a Quantitative Risk Manager where she played a pivotal role in supporting regulatory initiatives related to Counterparty Credit Risk. She was later promoted to XVA Trader where she managed a highly complex derivative book. Beyond her impressive professional achievements, Liqiao is also an active advocate for women in finance. She is dedicated to mentoring and coaching junior employees and organizing career development events, all with the aim of empowering others and promoting gender equality in the industry.
Meadow Wu
Director, Scotiabank
Meadow Wu is currently a Director with Scotiabank’s Corporate Banking team. Meadow has over 10 years of corporate banking experience across North America, having covered Technology and Diversified clients before transitioning to Infrastructure & Project Finance in 2018. Meadow is a strong advocate for the DEI initiatives in the finance industry for which she received the WCM – Emerging Leader Award in 2020. Meadow has volunteered for various DEI-focused organizations including past roles on WCM’s Event & Professional Development Committee, as well as her current role as a long-standing 100 Women in Finance - Early Career Committee member. Meadow holds a BA(Hon) degree from the University of Nottingham and a MFRM degree from Simon Fraser University.
