Upcoming Events & News

Main Street Fun & Safe Halloween: Originally scheduled for Saturday, October 28th, Main Street Trick or Treat has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 31st.


Reception to Celebrate the Life of Deborah Perkins: There will be a reception in the Parish Hall on Thursday, November 2nd at 2:00 to celebrate the life of Deborah Perkins. We will begin with a brief service lead by her hospice chaplain, the Rev. Ron Helm.


All Saints Day: All Saints Day will be celebrated on Sunday, November 5th. An important part of this celebration will be the remembrance of those from our families, our parish and our community who have died. You may call or email the office with names you wish to add. If you wish to remember someone with a memorial gift, please make your contribution by WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 1st so their names will be included in our bulletin. These gifts may be made online by going to stpaulsbatesville.org and using the secure online giving portal. Please choose Memorial Fund and note the names of whom you wish to remember in the memo line.


Care Team Meeting: The Care Team will meet this Sunday, October 29th at 6:00 pm in the Parish Hall. 


Family Violence Prevention Vigil: On Monday, October 30th, Domestic Violence Prevention will hold a vigil inside the Parish Hall beginning at 6:00 pm. All are welcome to attend to remember the victims of family violence.


Adult Sunday School: At 9:30 each Sunday morning we are having a bible study using the Sunday Lectionary (no preparation is needed). 


Bible Study: A Bible Study following episodes of the film series The Chosen is being held each Tuesday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:30 in Anglican Hall. We are watching and discussing one episode each week. Please feel free to join us.


Churchmen’s Club Turkey Cook: Tickets are available to purchase in the office for the Holy Smokers Turkey Cook. Tickets are $50 and pickup will be Saturday, November 18th from 8am-10:30am.


Altar Flowers: Sunday, November 19th is available for anyone who wishes to supply altar flowers and December 17th is also available. Please contact Jo to reserve one of these dates.


Coffee Hour: After the service, everyone is invited to the Parish House (two lefts at the bottom of the steps) for refreshments and fellowship. We promise you will still be able to beat the Baptists and Methodists to lunch afterwards.


Episcopal Church Year Calendars: The new calendars for the 2024 year are available in the Narthex and church office.


Office Hours: The office is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8am-12pm. Katie will not be in the office on Wednesday; thus, hours will vary. Please call before coming to make sure someone is in the office.

St. Paul’s Prayer List:


Prayer requests will stay on the Parish Prayer List for four weeks with the exception of parishioners with ongoing needs. If you wish a prayer request to remain on the list, please call the office to renew the request.
