Friends of Scouting Silent Auction - Closes 5/15/22 at 7:00pm
We have some great Silent Auction items for our Friends of Scouting Dinner. Anyone can start bidding now and you do not need to attend the dinner to participate. The Silent Auction closes on Sunday, May 15th at 7:00pm. Virginia Tech fans are some of the most enthusiastic fans on the planet, and it's safe to say Frank Beamer is a beloved part of local football history. A previous Friends of Scouting Keynote Speaker, Mr. Beamer generously autographed a Hokies football that's now up for grabs. Will you take it home and add it to your VT collection?
We're Making Camp Bigger and Better!
We recognize that there are many questions about what is happening at our camp in Goochland. We are implementing the 2020 HOVC Scout Reservation Strategic Property Plan to create more weekend experiences and renovate the camp. This will allow us to better support our Scouting units. George McGovern, Scout Executive, explains the changes you'll see at camp in the linked article below.

Geocaching Merit Badge at the Leadership Center
Geocaching is great for fun and exercise.  It’s a sport that’s a perfect fit for Scouting, and it’s a great way for Scouts and non-Scouts to share their enjoyment of the outdoors. Use your Scout skills and follow the Scout Oath and Scout Law as you embark on this new pastime.  Learn how to Geocache from experienced local cachers and earn your Geocaching Merit Badge. This event takes place May 21st from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm at the HOVC Leadership Center.
