McDonnell Academy Global Research Symposium: The McDonnell Academy Global Research Symposium, Forces Reshaping the World, will feature the work of seed grant awardees who have received funding from the McDonnell International Scholars Academy and campus partners over the last three years in areas that align with WashU’s Here and Next strategic plan. Present Your Research in 3 Minutes for a Chance to Win Prizes up to $1,000: The Graduate Center in partnership with the Olin-Chancellor’s Fellowship is hosting a special adaptation of the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition open to all full-time graduate and professional degree students at WashU. Pivot 314 Program Application: Pivot 314 is a year-long program presented by The Graduate Center and the Skandalaris Center for Interdisciplinary Innovation and Entrepreneurship for mid-career PhD students to explore possible career pathways outside and alongside of the academy, through engagement with the St. Louis entrepreneurial community. Pivot 314 provides graduate students curated programming focused on professional development, strengthening leadership and communications skills and an internship. The program runs for one calendar year beginning in January and includes an experiential learning opportunity through a 10-week paid internship with an early-stage startup in St. Louis.
