Dear Eastview Friends and Families,

As we end the month of February, we look forward to springing ahead to bright and sunny days in March! We are so proud of our students and the focused, hard work they have continued to display in their classrooms throughout this past month. During this time of the year, we see tremendous academic growth in our students as they build upon their foundational knowledge, and teachers challenge them with new concepts. We hope that you are enjoying seeing your own child’s growth this school year.

During the month of March, we will have many exciting activities planned for our students. On March 9th, our 5th grade band students will be participating in our Music in our Schools Tour, showing off their musical talents to students both at Star Center and Eastview. On March 10th, our student council is planning a fun-filled carnival for our Eastview students. Student council members are designing games and activities for our students to enjoy. To end the month of March, we have author Candace Fleming visiting Eastview on March 21st. She will meet with classrooms and share about her experiences as a writer. Finally, to celebrate the end of the third quarter, we will have our Step It Up “Day of Awesomeness” celebration on March 24th. Students will get to enjoy a variety of bounce houses and games. It should be a wonderful way to end our third quarter.

As always, thank you for your continued support of Eastview students and staff.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Erin Zigler

MARCH 25-APRIL 1 SPRING BREAK!
The deadline to order a MEMORY BOOK
is March 11! Cost is $11
Each year students in Grades 3-8 are given the opportunity to create poetry, prose, expository, illustrated writing, or artwork to submit to the Southern Lakes Advanced Learners Network. This year's theme was "Unstoppable." The submitted pieces are judged at the district level, and the chosen pieces are published in our Lake Geneva Anthology booklet. We are proud to recognize these Eastview students whose work will be included this year!
Eastview Elementary was well-represented at the
Mid-Winter Band Concert last month.

PLEASE SUPPORT OUR SCHOOL IN THE
PLASTIC FILM RECYCLING CHALLENGE!

This year, Eastview is competing against hundreds of schools across the nation to recycle the most plastic film. The challenge not only helps the planet but provides our students with a better understanding and appreciation for the importance of recycling. The challenge begins on America Recycles Day, November 15, and lasts until April 15. Eastview will have recycling bins for students to place objects in. What can be recycled? Check out the graphic!
