Susannah French Named Associate Dean
for Research, Faculty

USU Biology/Ecology Center Professor Susannah French, pictured left, is the college’s new Associate Dean for Research and Faculty. She succeeds Adele Cutler, who served as interim associate dean following Michelle Baker’s appointment as dean. Susannah is the liaison to the Office of Research, and
will advise faculty, chairs and heads on such issues as promotion and tenure, faculty code and more.

New Student Leaders Announced | |
Jaxton Winder was elected by his peers as Science Senator for the 2023-24 academic year. Jaxton is a graduate student in Computer Science. Special thanks to 2022-23 Science Senator Gabriella Cale, who led successful activities and initiatives, including Science Week, Rapid Fire Research and Women in STEM Night. Sarah Pope, a doctoral student in Psychology, was re-elected university-wide Graduate Studies Senator for the 2023-24 academic year. | |

Do You Drive University Vehicles? | |
All USU employees driving university vehicles must complete State of Utah Defensive Driving Training before operating state-owned vehicles. The training, which takes about 30 minutes, can be completed online on USU’s Institutional Learning System. | |
