Schedule Change Requests

On Wednesday, all students and parents should have received student schedules for the 2023-2024 school year. If after reviewing this list you would like to request a change, please complete our Schedule Change Request Form by Wednesday, June 7. Not all changes will be possible, but we will do our best to make them on a space available basis. If we are unable to make the change, we will communicate this to you. If we are able to make the change you have requested, you will see the change when you receive your schedule later this summer.

After the schedule change window closes, changes will only be made for the following reasons:
  • Error in the schedule
  • Failure of a 2nd Semester course
  • Course in the schedule is completed in summer school
  • Change in IEP that requires a change in services
  • Documented need for college for grade 12 students only

Once the school year starts, students will be able to drop a course to a study hall after the first 5 days of courses. Full-time students are required to be enrolled in a minimum of 6 courses, so students who already have a study hall in their schedule will not have this option. Students in a study hall will have the option to add a course prior to the end of the 5th day of class if there is room in the course and it does not impact other courses in the schedule. Please remember that outside of the two options just explained, no additional schedule changes will be made.

Schedules will become available in July after your student's residency, registration and health documents have been submitted and reviewed. Please reach out if you have any questions. We hope you have a great end to the school year and a safe and relaxing summer!
FAFSA Completion

This is a reminder to all seniors that you are required to file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or complete a FAFAS Non-Participation Form in order to graduate. If you are choosing to complete the non-participation form, please return it to your counselor.

Mock Trial Summer Camp

The Mock Trial program trains students in legal concepts and courtroom procedures in preparation for county, state, and national competitions. In these competitions, students argue both sides of a case--portraying witnesses, making opening and closing statements, conducting direct and cross-examinations, and responding to objections. Tryouts for interested students are held in September.

Mock Trial Summer Camp dates:
  • Aug 07, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Aug 08, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Aug 09, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Description: The camp is designed to introduce interested students, including rising freshmen, to the principles of law and procedures of a trial. We will provide background on constructing a compelling case, understanding rules of evidence, making and responding to objections, speaking confidently, and handling the space of a courtroom. Sessions will include seminars, active practice, and collaborations with teams. The culminating activity will involve a full trial using materials from a previous Illinois state case. Students may be interested in trying out for the Mock Trial team or simply have an interest in law.
