Maryland Regional Virtual Exhibition Series #4:
Eastern Shore
Presenting the fourth installment of our yearlong series featuring
artists from across the state!

MSAC presents the Maryland Regional Virtual Exhibition Series, showcasing multidisciplinary artists from across the state. The year-long series continues with Series #4: Eastern Shore Maryland, featuring 48 art pieces created by artists residing in Cecil, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico, and Worcester counties. The exhibition includes several visual artworks inspired by nature on the Eastern Shore as well as many different mediums and scales and will be on view until August 19, 2022. EMERGENCY GRANTS FOR INDEPENDENT ARTISTS | |

Emergency Grants are available! The purpose of the Emergency Grant program is to support the needs of independent artists as they adjust to income losses as the result of an emergency situation (including, but not limited to, the ongoing impact of the pandemic). This Emergency Grant program is accepted on a rolling basis with a monthly review process. Grants are available for up to $2,000. Click here for further details and the full program guidelines.

PUBLIC ART ACROSS MARYLAND | |
FREE “Making it Public” workshops presented by Forecast Public Art
MSAC is partnering with Forecast Public Art, to offer free professional development workshops to in-state artists and administrators interested in fostering more vibrant and equitable public spaces through artmaking. Follow the links below to find more information about each 5 week program and register today!

Making it Public - Artist Edition will run from July 7-August 4, and is designed to support artists of all disciplines in exploring and expanding their public art making practice. At the conclusion of the workshop series, participating artists will be better equipped to respond to calls for public art in their community and develop successful Public Art Across Maryland grant proposals.

Making it Public - Administrator Edition will run from September 15, 2022 through October 13, 2022 and covers practical and tactical subject matters for administrators at all stages of their career facilitating public art, such as stakeholder considerations, community engagement, preparing a call‐for‐artists, equitable selection processes, contracting, and more.
