Reflections on Flurry of Rodeo Week Fun
By Bri Swan
It has come and gone, and Oakdale’s Annual Rodeo week was a huge success! Our Annual Arrest Roundup Scholarship fundraiser event was a great success! We raised $6,400 for scholarships! The Cowboy Museum held their annual Mingle Mixer and Rodeo Queen Coronation, congratulations to Rayna Rogers on being crowned 2023 Miss Rodeo Oakdale!

The Parade on Saturday was great! And finally, the moment we had all been waiting for…the Rodeo on Saturday and Sunday. The rodeo was jam packet with excited fans! We want to thank everyone who helped, participated in, and volunteered for these events. Rodeo week would not be the same without you! You are all appreciated.

Love Oakdale is coming up on April 29! Please visit Loveoakdale.com for more information and volunteering opportunities. Get your family, friends, coworkers together and help beautify Oakdale!

Members We Celebrated
‘Ike Loa Candle Co.
136 N Maag Ave STE. B2,
Oakdale, CA 95361

Ike Loa is a Hawaiian term, Translation: knowledge, wisdom, and perpetual learning. Our dreamy scents are inspired by nature and travel, moments and memories. Memories triggered by scent have some of the strongest emotional connections and appear more intense than any other memory triggers. The sense of smell connects to the part of the brain that also controls memories and emotions, therefore smells often evoke strong memories.
We hand-pour our candles in our California workshop using sustainable coconut soy wax, phthalate-free perfume oils infused with essential oils. Our vessels can all be recycled or repurposed. We pride ourselves on our unique blends, quality, and accessible prices.

Arrest Round Up Scholarship Fundraiser
We had so much fun at the Annual Arrest Roundup Scholarship Fundraiser! Community members were "arrested" and taken to stand trial for various reasons, from James Winnick at Family Vision Care, for having the craziest boots in the west, to Lisa Padilla Rent-A-Gown with Lisa, for working too hard on creating a Prom Dress Rental Program for local students, as well as Ryan and Kelsey from Oakdale Veterinary Group, for not paying King Mowgli his cheese tax, plus many more! We arrested a total of 41 awesome community members! Thank you to everyone who came out and showed your support! Also, a HUGE shout out to H-B Saloon for being our jail house!
