What's New, What's Next?
FCT's 46th Anniversary Season!

Fauquier Community Theatre presents Miracle on 34th Street, the Play on Fridays and weekends December 1 - 17, 2023. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 pm and Sunday matinees are at 2 pm.
The cast of 24 actors will delight audiences! The play is adapted from the novel by Valentine Davies and based upon the Twentieth Century Fox motion picture Miracle on 34th Street. Kris Kringle, a nice old man from a retirement home, gets a job working as a Christmas Santa at Macy’s.
| |
Kris Kringles's honest and generous spirit unleashes waves of good will throughout New York City, and a hint of magic in the heart of a very practical little girl named Susan. But some see his claims of being 'the real Santa' as delusional, and Kris ends up in a court competency hearing where his freedom and the joys of childhood are at stake! In a dramatic decision, the court confirms Kris as the true Santa, allowing Susan and countless other children to experience the joy of Santa for the rest of their lives.
The show opens on Friday, December 1 for nine performances and you will want to include this play in your holiday plans! After all, Santa is in the play and one of our favorite scenes so far is when he speaks to the young girl who just arrived from Holland. We have the real Santa here at FCT who will charm audiences in this poignant holiday story. And, yes of course Santa's beard is real!
'It's a wonderful family friendly show.' says director Michelle Matthews. “Kris Kringle shows us how a little support in each other can go a long way, even when battling the holiday rush at Macy's. It's a great story about keeping faith even when the odds are against you. I'm very proud of the cast. We have a great mix of theater veterans and those brand new to community theater working together to bring this story to life.”
The play is sponsored by NOVEC and with special arrangement by The Drama Publishing Company. The full cast list is on the home page post of FCT's website. Performances are beginning to sell out, especially the Sunday matinees so reserve your favorite seating choices today!
