National College Board Recognition Students - Twin Rivers Unified is proud to celebrate 14 of our students who have been recognized by the College Board National Recognition Programs. The programs celebrate underrepresented students who excel academically. This year's recipients attend Grant Union High School and Rio Linda High School.

Recognition of 2024-2025 District Teachers of the Year - Following site selections, essays, and an interview process, two candidates were selected as our District Teachers of the Year for 2024-2025: Edie Xiong, a fifth grade teacher at Foothill Oaks Elementary, and Marc Vankeuren Ph.D., an Advanced Placement Physics, Advanced Placement Environmental Science and Physics of the Universe teacher at Grant Union High School. Our District was proudly represented by these two educators in the Sacramento County Teacher of the Year program. One of these exceptional teachers, Marc Vankeuren, Ph.D., was chosen as a 2025 Sacramento County Teacher of the Year.
