Seniors Celebrated Well
Sunday was a great day at Vineville. The crowd was large, the energy was high, and our hearts were full. It was a great day of worship, and we give thanks for the class of 2022. Many of these young people were brought to the baptismal font at Vineville, and we promised to help raise them. Sunday was a chance to celebrate their hard work, the love of their families, and the faithfulness of the church.
Every year as part of the celebration the Vineville Scholarships are awarded. This year eight scholarships were presented.

Mother's Day & Baby Recognition
After celebrating our graduates last Sunday, this Sunday, on Mother's Day, UMW will celebrate special women with the lighting of candles in memory or in honor of them. In addition, we will recognize the next generation with Baby Recognition Sunday.

League of the Good Samaritan Offering
For many years all across the South Georgia Annual Conference, Mother’s Day has been the day designated for a special offering for Magnolia manor. This offering is the way we keep a promise made decades ago. When Magnolia Manor started we made the commitment that no resident would have to leave our care even if they ran out of resources.
Materials will be available on Sunday to help us participate in keeping the promise. Vineville has a long and generous history of support of this important ministry to our most senior adults.

Volunteers needed for L.H. Williams
Awards Luncheon
For decades, one of the highlights of the year at L.H. Williams has been the 5th Grade Awards Program and Luncheon at Vineville. Who knows how many children, parents, and grandparents have come through our doors to celebrate their accomplishments. Due to Covid, we have been unable to hold this special event for the past two years, but we are bringing it back this year.
On Monday, May 16th at 11:30 a.m. the forty-six children will be brought from school to the CLC. They will be joined by their parents, teachers, and school administrators. We need volunteers to help with table decorations, serve as greeters, serve the catered lunch and assist with clean up. Many of you have helped before and know what a day of joy it is to be part of. Many Vineville members have tutored, read with, and delivered food to these children. We share their joy, as well as the joy of their teachers and families as they take the next step on their educational journey. CHILDREN'S CHOIR SPRING CONCERT TONIGHT |

Our children’s choirs have been busy and are excited to share their spring concert with you TONIGHT at 6:00 p.m. in the CLC. Our Hosanna preschool choristers will present “Tell Me the Stories of Jesus,” a collection of some favorite childhood songs, both old and new! The Oasis elementary choir will then regale you with the hilarious Simons Says: The Rockin’ Trial of Simon Peter. Simon Peter is on trial for proclaiming that Jesus is the Son of God, and his many friends, from fellow disciples to several Marys to Lazarus, testify on his behalf to prove this wonderful truth.

RISE AGAINST HUNGER ON MAY 11 |

Join us on Wednesday, May 11 as we work to fight hunger in communities around the world! During this event, we will pack 10,000 meals for Rise Against Hunger. We will provide dinner at 5:15 p.m. and start packing at 6:15 p.m. The dinner and event are free, but you need reservations for the meal, and RAH requires a separate registration. Our Fun on the Farm Preschool Camp will take place June 27-30. Come down to the farm where we will be growin' in our friendship with Jesus! Then, at our elementary Summer Theatre Camp from July 18-22, our campers will learn songs and dialogue, build props and sets and perform the funny musical O Chicken of Little Faith. Great songs, fun dialogue, easy to learn, and impossible to forget! The cost for both of these camps is $75 each and you can sign up for them in Realm.
