From Mrs. Pudelko:
We are excited for our annual Wildcat Walk tomorrow - we pray that the weather cooperates! Thank you to all of our donors who have already made a contribution. As of Thursday morning, we've collected $16,585 - this is slightly less than last year at this time and about $3,500 away from our $20,000 goal! Any contributions you can make will help us to meet our goal! (Wildcat Walk Online Giving)

A few notes for the Wildcat Walk:
  • Students should wear their blue St. Anthony spirit shirt given to them this school year.
  • In the event of light rain, we may still walk. Students may want an extra pair of shoes and change of clothes in their backpacks.
  • We will not be having a full school Mass Friday, but a Scripture Service led by Deacon Stan. Parents are welcome to join us. Coffee will be served in the Gathering Space between Mass and the walk. Classes will meet parents at the awning after they take a bathroom break.
  • Outdoor field day activities will be weather dependent. A scheduled of indoor activities have been planned as a backup, but will not include Powder Puff or Tug of War.

I'm thrilled to announce that in conjunction with the Shared Time Program, we have hired a STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) teacher in order to offer a STEM class at St. Anthony in place of our traditional technology class! I'm thrilled to welcome Beth Schlosser to our staff for next school year - Beth comes to us with experience as a Catholic educator in the Diocese of Grand Rapids, experience as an administrator in the Diocese of Kalamazoo, and experience leading STEM initiatives in her current role. Beth is a parent and parishioner at St. Anthony and is dedicated to our community. Beth's growth mindset helped her to stand apart from the other candidates. Please help me in welcoming Beth to our school staff and look for additional updates on this exciting opportunity for our kindergarten through eighth grade students throughout the summer!
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I look forward to seeing many of you Monday at the Memorial Day Parade.

Stay safe and God bless,

Jenny
