In Situ Crystal Data-Collection and Ligand-Screening System
In a paper at Acta Crystallographica Section F, Hideo Okumura et al. "report on the development of an in situ diffraction measurement system at SPring-8 that can collect small-wedge data from crystals in a crystallization drop on a crystallization plate at room temperature. " And "Through future improvements to the automation and efficiency of the system such as crystal centering, it can be applied to research that requires efficiency, such as large-scale compound library screening at room temperature."
In Situ-1TM Crystallization Plates
In the above paper, "three types of crystals were grown by mixing the protein solution and crystallization solution on our In Situ-1 Crystallization Plate using the NT8 drop setter (Formulatrix)." We greatly appreciate it when researchers put their trust in our products.
Sequence Assignment Validation in Cryo-EM Models
In a paper at Acta Crystallographica Section D, Grzegorz Chojnowski explains checkMySequence. A new method for "the fully automated identification of register-shift errors in protein models built into cryo-EM reconstructions. The approach relies on the systematic assignment of short protein model test fragments to the target sequence and works as a statistical test."
Laboratory Hot Plates for Your Research
Need a hot plate for your research? We offer hot plates for heating solids or liquids. You have your choice of analog or digital versions as well as aluminum or ceramic tops.

Tip - Aluminum tops are recommended for heating a solid on the heater plate surface. They heat much more evenly across the plate surface than the ceramic plates. Ceramic glass tops heat and cool very quickly. They are designed for heating a solution in a vessel and are very chemically resistant.
Upcoming Events
At MiTeGen, we sponsor numerous events, conferences, workshops and symposiums throughout the year. These events include fields such as structural biology, crystallography, cryo-EM, beamline research and more. We believe in supporting researchers and our industry. Listed below are two upcoming events you might find interesting.
The Diffraction Methods in Structural Biology meeting is scheduled for July 24th to 29th in Lewiston, Maine. Features sessions on critical barriers in structural biology. Sessions offer advice to newcomers to the field who will face these challenges. We are attending & sponsoring this event.
The EMBO Practical Course on High Throughput Protein Production and Crystallization is July 4th to 12th in Marseille, France. The goal of this course is to provide the students with a broad view on the latest High Throughput available techniques and more. We are sponsoring this course.
Looking For More Events, Workshops and Conferences
If you are looking for more events visit our events page. It lists conferences, workshops, symposiums, user meetings and more.

Topics include structural biology, material science, crystallography, cryo-EM, beamline research and more.
