WCA's Hawks are STRONG because each student agrees to follow the H.A.W.K.S honor code. Together, we strive to behave in a way that is consistent with Biblical standards that promote a healthy educational environment. This positive attitude helps teachers and students develop healthy Christian relationships and creates a faith community that empowers students to achieve academic success.

Honor Every student at WCA will show honor to God, others, and themselves by demonstrating compassion, consideration, and kindness at all times.

Accountability Students are to be truthful in all situations. Students should take responsibility for their choices and accept the consequences—good or bad.

Work Students are expected to work hard at the tasks given to them and put forth their best effort.

Knowledge Hard work and study build knowledge. Students are expected to study for tests, turn in all assignments on time and participate in activities to grow their academic pursuits.

Success When a student chooses to practice honor, show accountability, work hard and pursue knowledge, they are achieving success!

IOWA Testing

May 2 - May 6

From Monday, May 2nd – Friday, May 6th, our EC, Kindergarten- 8th grade students will be given the Iowa Assessments™ Exam. Especially for this testing week, we encourage consistent bedtimes, protein-rich breakfasts and on-time drop-offs each morning to ensure your child is prepared to their best!

Healthy Hawks Field Day!

Friday, May 13

Healthy Hawks, get ready for Field Day 2022 - the 20th year of healthy competition and Christlike sportsmanship! Coach Hastings and Coach Peeler have a fun day planned that includes many fun outdoor activities for students. And WCA's amazing 7th & 8th grade leadership team will be helping our coaches manage activities during the event. 

On Field Day, please have your student wear their Healthy Hawk t-shirt, comfortable shorts, and old tennis shoes. Please apply sunscreen, pack extra water, and a beach towel to sit on at lunch.

Parents, siblings, and grandparents are invited to join us at 12 pm for lunch and to watch our afternoon activities. Please pack a chair or blanket and get ready to cheer on your favorite Hawk as the blue and green teams have fun with a little healthy competition.

Field Day Brown Bag Lunch Orders

Parents and students may preorder a bagged lunch for Field Day. Each lunch will include a hot dog, apple, sun chips, rice Krispie treat and water. The price is $5 per bagged lunch, and all orders will be debited from your student's lunch account. Please order by Sunday, May 8.

WCA's Showcase & Shindig

Friday, May 20 | 6:00pm -8:00 pm

The evening will begin with a SHOWCASE designed by Ms. Francis to highlight our WCA students. After the special show, we will celebrate a successful year at WCA with a big SHINDIG! Families may pre-order from Papa's Pizza (sign up coming soon) or pack a picnic dinner. The PTF will provide a dessert from Buck's Ice Cream Truck for all students. Extra ice cream for parents and siblings will be available for purchase.There will also be lots of fun activities for the whole family! 

Uniform Swap & Sip

May 23 | After carpool at 8:20am

You are invited to WCA's Uniform Swap & Sip. Parents of current and future 2022-23 students will gather after carpool for coffee and swap uniforms. The event will take place in the Youth Center parking lot. You do not need to have uniforms to participate. This is a swap, NOT a sale. Don't forget to bring a bag to take home your new, gently used uniforms!
