DCSD strongly encourages all parents and guardians to create an observer account in Canvas, our new County-wide LMS (learning management system). Canvas is now the only way that all DHHS students are keeping track of their work, turning in assignments, etc. Many parents have reported having trouble creating a parent account and logging into the Canvas Parent app on the PTO Facebook page and class groups. We have assembled what we hope are clear directions HERE.

Druid Hills High School is excited to announce our
2022 Employees of the Year

Rookie of the Year - Ms. Farris Lewis

Support Personnel II of the Year - Ms. Tanya Henderson, Counselor

Support Personnel I of the Year - Nurse Jamie Fitzstephens

Teacher of the Year - Mr. Roger Henery
Parking in the Durand Mill neighborhood, adjacent to our campus, has transitioned to Resident Permit Parking Only. Several DHHS students use these neighborhood streets for parking. Moving forward, cars parked in marked areas will be ticketed.
Additionally, please also remember that parking on the neighborhood streets adjacent to the Presbyterian church (Westminster Way and Edinburgh Terrace) during school hours is also severely restricted. Last year many tickets (70+) were issued and parking violations are called in to the police regularly. Some have already been called in in the first few days of the school year.
School Snack Bar Needs Volunteers
Parents & Guardians, if you are looking for a way to participate in DHHS, have a flexible schedule, and can volunteer from 2:45-4:15 at least once a month, please sign up to work in the student center snack bar in the gym lobby. Our goal is to open this space for students to hang out together and have a snack after school.

Volunteers must be able to move lightweight furniture and stand behind a counter for a couple of hours. We are looking for regular volunteers who can sign up for the same time slot every month (every second Tuesday, for example). If there is a month when you can't make your regular time, you will be responsible for finding another parent to cover your slot. If you would like to help or have questions, please contact Kim Goldsmith.
Remember that all tickets for DCSD athletic events must be purchased through the GoFan app. There is no walk-up ticketing.

So download the app and create an account so you can cheer the Red Devils on to victory all year!
