One Body in Christ, Growing, Living, and sharing God's Love

St. John News and Notes:

This summer the church office will be closed on Fridays. Starting on May 27th through September 2nd. If you need to reach the office call and you you'll be prompted to a staff member.

Council News:

Janie Wegleitner has submitted her resignation to Council. We thank

Janie for her service to this church as the Education representative. This leaves a big hole. Not only will she missed on council, but her leadership in coordination Sunday school, confirmation and VBS. We desperately need volunteers in all these areas. It's not hyperbole, but it is possible, without leadership, VBS could be canceled this summer.

Please consider volunteering. Contact the church office for more information.

May 28th Wild West Days.

VBS: July 31st through August 5th. 5:00 to 8:00

Fall Festival September 10th

Your input is needed.  Please take this poll regarding worship styles.

What type of worship service do you find more meaningful?
Traditional Worship - hymns and liturgy
Contemporary Worship - Praise songs and newer church settings
Blended worship - a mix of both

We are looking to hire a Worship coordinator. A good portion of Pastor Tim's time is completing weekly worship planning.  Whereas this is very important to the worship life of this congregation. Hiring this position would afford Pastor Tim, and more importantly your next pastor, needed time to work on other administrative duties as well as much needed time for pastoral care visits.

If you know anyone who have the necessary skills needed please inform Pastor Tim, Jessica Larson, Carolyn Schwab, or the church office. For the job description check out the link below labeled Worship coordinator.

Mission Endowment Fund

The Endowment Fund started with a large bequest from a member of our congregation. Additional endowments have been added since the original gift. Since the principal of endowments remain intact, the fund will be a source of perpetual gifts. As much as we encourage you to give to the Endowment Fund, we also encourage you to apply for a grant.

For more information and how to apply click on the Mission Endowment Flyer button. Also, if you know an organization in the Zimmerman community that could benefit from this fund? Forward this email and direct the organization to this flyer.

Colossians 3:15-17

15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
