Pittsgrove Township Board of Education Initiates
Search for its Superintendent of Schools
The Pittsgrove Township Board of Education has retained NJASA and Stockton University as a consultant to assist in the selection of candidates to find an exceptional leader.

The Pittsgrove Township School District is
comprised of five schools and is located in Salem
County in Southern New Jersey. Applications will be received until June 17, 2022, and it is anticipated that the Board of Education will appoint the successful candidate with the goal of assuming his/her duties on, or about October 1st.
Human Trafficking Youth Prevention Education (HTYPE) Demonstration Program Grants Available
The Office on Trafficking in Persons (OTIP) within the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) is announcing the solicitation of applications for the competitive process to award funds for the Human Trafficking Youth Prevention Education (HTYPE) Demonstration Program. The primary purpose of the HTYPE Demonstration Program is to fund local educational agencies (LEA) to establish, expand, and support programs to prevent human trafficking victimization through the provision of skills-based human trafficking training and education for school staff and student. Dr. Timothy Purnell to be NJSBA's Next Executive Director
Dr. Timothy Purnell, a former New Jersey Superintendent of the Year and the Interim Executive County Superintendent of Morris County, has been named Executive Director of the New Jersey School Boards Association following a nationwide search. The organization’s board of directors approved the appointment unanimously May 13.
Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund Commission
The Fund is a financial assistance program for New Jersey Families with potentially catastrophic medical expenses due to a child’s illness or condition. Call the Fund at 1-800-335-FUND (3863) for more information.
If a family has expenses due to a child’s illness that were incurred prior to the child’s 22nd birthday, and the expenses:

1. Exceed 10% of the family’s income that year, plus 15% of any income over $100,000; and

2. Are not covered by insurance, other State or Federal programs, or other sources such as fundraising.
