Faculty Annual Review / Development Resources


Per BUSM Bylaws and LCME accreditation, all full-time faculty members must meet annually with their supervisors to review their progress toward promotion, receive constructive feedback, and set goals for the upcoming academic year.


Starting this year, the annual review will transition to cover the calendar year (January–December 2021). Please meet with your supervisors as early as you can, but no later than Aug. 31, 2022.

BUMC Learning Space Technology Committee Survey


The BUMC Learning Space Technology Committee (LSTC) would like help in assessing BUMC instructional space in terms of technology, facilities and service. Your input is of great value as we develop plans to advance and enhance BUMC instructional spaces and services. Join us for this virtual event to learn about the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, a funder dedicated to supporting undervalued areas in the biomedical sciences.

 

Louis Muglia, MD, PhD, President and CEO of the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, will lead the conversation. He has been involved with the Fund for more than 20 years as an award recipient and an active member of its various advisory committees. A pioneering researcher on preterm birth, Dr. Muglia has previously served faculty and leadership positions at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and Washington University in St. Louis.

 

Dr. Muglia will discuss the Fund’s mission, funding programs and priorities, grant procedures, and selection criteria. He also will answer questions about the Fund.
