Joining one of Coastline's student clubs or organizations is a great way to get involved, meet fellow Coastline students, and build your resume. And now that the semester's underway, that means clubs are starting to get active again! During Club Week we'll be highlighting each of our Coastline clubs and student organizations, so stay tuned to our social channels and your inbox to learn about all the different opportunities to connect with your fellow Dolphins! More so than money, there is one thing even more valuable which college students just never seem to have enough of – time. Given that, it seems a bit of a conundrum that some of the most valuable commodities that can be found within the college experience are student clubs and organizations. Nearly as valuable as the knowledge and skills gained from a student’s courses, the benefits of joining a student club can affect a student’s future in a variety of ways, for years beyond their college career. So how on earth can college students - who are already short on time - manage to take on another responsibility by joining a student club, and why should they even try?

Associated Student Government (ASG) Meeting

Coastline ASG meetings are open to students, college employees, and the public. The meetings are a great opportunity to get involved in student leadership, learn about happenings at Coastline College, and share perspectives during public forum, a time reserved for members of the public to address the ASG on issues on or not already appearing on the agenda. A limit of five (5) minutes per speaker and fifteen (15) minutes per topic will be enforced. This is not a period of discussion for ASG however, ASGCCC may respond to specific questions and concerns made by the public. Open ASG leadership positions and ASG meeting agendas are posted on the ASG webpage.

CSU Transfer Planner

Have transfer plans to a California State University (CSU)? Great! The CSU launched its free online tool, Transfer Planner, to provide you with a customized roadmap of which courses are needed for your major at the CSU campus(es) you apply to. This virtual-Zoom workshop will show you unique features of the transfer planner designed to help you successfully keep on track, transfer in a timely manner, connect with CSU counselors, and more!

Calling All 1st-Gen STEM Majors: The Coastline MESA Program is Here!

MESA provides support services for underrepresented students pursuing degrees in calculus-based STEM majors through specialized academic advising, community building, tutoring, supplies, and more! Do you identify as a 1st generation college student? Are you eligible to receive need-based financial aid? Are you looking to transfer to a four-year university for your 1st bachelor's degree? Are you in a calculus-based STEM major at Coastline? If you answered yes to all of these questions, you are eligible to apply to MESA! Complete the Interest Form and we will reach out to you with more information. 


DAP Fall 2024 Book Voucher Application Now Open!

Need books for classes? Check to see if you qualify for a book voucher, today! The Dolphin Assistance Program (DAP) book voucher is awarded to eligible students in Fall, Spring, and Summer terms based on program funding availability, student program eligibility and financial aid eligibility. Students participating in the Book Voucher program agree to return their books to the Basic Needs Office at the conclusion of the semester. The books will be donated to the Coastline book borrowing program. Students must participate in one workshop and complete a follow up survey.
