Two Free Carbon Monoxide Detectors for Certified Child Care Providers


Pennsylvania’s Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) is providing two complimentary Carbon Monoxide Detectors for all certified child care providers in Pennsylvania. OCDEL is making these detectors available to certified child care providers, but the ordering and placement of detectors is not a regulatory requirement. Certified child care providers should have received an email from School Health on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, with directions. See the original release for more details. 

Invitation to Participate in a New Research Program, Healthy Minds@Work Well-Being, Powered by Science


The Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) has partnered with Healthy Minds Innovations, a non-profit organization dedicated to the science of human flourishing, to bring the Healthy Minds@Work app to Pennsylvania early childhood education (ECE) staff. Now there is an exciting new opportunity for ECE staff to partner in a research program, Workplace Well-Being, Powered by Science!

 

Starting April 2023, as participants in the Workplace Well-Being, Powered by Science research program, ECE teams of two or more will have early access to the Healthy Minds Program's newest offering and will be part of a study to measure the program’s impact. Learn more.

RFA Application Approaching for OCDEL Early Head Start Child Care Partnerships (EHSCCP)


The deadline is March 20, 2023, for interested child care providers to apply for the Early Head Start Child Care Partnership (EHSCCP) grant. The grant provides partnership opportunities to high-quality child care providers to serve 324 income eligible infants and toddlers in their community. Learn more.

Two Days Remain to Submit Application for Early Learning Resource Center


The Early Learning Resource Center Request for Applications is now open on Pennsylvania’s eMarketplace. Information can be found here: PA - eMarketplace (state.pa.us)

 

The deadline to submit applications has been extended to March 8, 2023.
