Friday Greetings,
I want to start this message by sharing a few interesting quotes:
You can change the course of your life with your words. Anonymous
Be sure to taste your words before you spit them out. Anonymous
Words are seeds, so be careful what you plant, one day you might have to eat them. Pastor Thompson
The point of these quotes is to share one truth; our words have power. In fact, the Book of Proverbs shares this: Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.
How precious it is that God has given us the gift of speech. Our words have the ability to help or hinder, encourage or discourage, lead or mislead, and based upon who’s speaking, they have the ability to bring someone laughter or bring them to tears.
This Sunday, I want to focus our message on two passage of scripture, Proverbs 18:21 and 1 John 4:4, and unravel the power that comes through the words of someone who knows Jesus. I pray to see you this Sunday in-house or virtually.
Peace,
Rev. Dr. Mark W. Thompson
