Cover Story: Palms and flowers arrive here by the hundreds

Each spring, the grounds of Haven Harbour Marina and Haven Harbour South, as well as the Inn at Haven Harbour, are transformed from barren and bleak winter landscapes to bright, colorful (and even semi-tropical) summer oases.

Last week, a delivery of hundreds of annuals arrived for planting. Species range from potato vines and petunias to majestic palms, begonias and cannas.

Staff procured pots and barrels from winter storage before adding fresh potting soil. Next came the task of planting flora in presentable arrangements to fill dozens of planters, flowerbeds and gardens.

A truckload of palm trees for installation at the beach at Haven Harbour South has also arrived – just in time to start off another summer season at the Admirals Club Beachside Bar.

Whether it be palm trees or petunias, the Haven Harbour team takes pride in what has become an annual tradition of spring beautification.

Slipholders: Reserve your spot on our hurricane haul-out list

The start of hurricane season is less than a month away, and It is never too early to reserve your spot on our hurricane haul-out list. As a slipholder of Haven Harbour Marina or Haven Harbour South, there is no fee or charge to be placed on our emergency hurricane haul-out list. You may have your vessel added at any time by sending a request to [email protected], or by visiting our marine store locations.

In the case of a hurricane, the haul-out list will be activated and vessels will be placed on land according to their order of sign-up date. Those who wait to sign-up for the list during the onset of a potential storm may risk not being hauled in time.

This Weekend: Passages Bar & Grill, Admirals Club open

Today and tomorrow, Haven Harbour Marina's Passages Bar & Grill and Admirals Club Beachside Bar will be open! Both are hosting a food truck and serving bar offerings and beverages to compliment. We kindly ask for your patience as we get our sea legs for the upcoming season.

Throughout the boating season, Passages and Admirals Club will be serving drinks and alcoholic beverages from 4:00-9:00 p.m. and 2:00-9:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, respectively. Sign of Summer: Swimming pools open to guests for the season

You heard right – the swimming pools at Haven Harbour Marina will be opening to guests for the summer season tomorrow, May 20! As a friendly reminder, our swimming pools are private to marina slipholders, transient boaters and resort guests only.
