Department of Agriculture


Community Food Projects Competitive Grant Program

  • Closing Date: November 7, 2024
  • Description: The CFPCGP is intended to bring together stakeholders from distinct parts of the food system and to foster understanding of national food security trends and how they might improve local food systems. Understanding that people with low incomes experience disproportionate access to healthy foods, projects should address food and nutrition security, particularly among our nation’s most vulnerable populations. Nutrition security is defined as having consistent access, availability, and affordability of foods and beverages that promote well-being. Applications from organizations that address food insecurity in rural, tribal, and underserved communities are encouraged.   
  • Eligibility:  Public food program service providers, tribal organizations, or private nonprofit entities, including gleaners. Additional eligibility requirements listed in the RFA.

Atlanta FY 2021 – FY 2023 EDA Planning and Local Technical Assistance

  • Closing date: Applications are accepted on a continuing basis and processed as received.
  • Description: EDA makes planning and local technical assistance investments to support economic development, foster job creation, and attract private investment in economically distressed areas of the United States. Under the Planning program, EDA makes Partnership Planning, Short-Term Planning, and State Planning awards to eligible recipients to create and implement regional economic development plans designed to build capacity and guide the economic prosperity and resiliency of an area or region.

Research Grants to Rigorously Evaluate Innovative and Promising Strategies to Prevent Firearm-Related Violence and Injuries

  • Closing date: December 2, 2024
  • Description: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC, Injury Center) is soliciting investigator-initiated research to rigorously evaluate the effectiveness of innovative and promising strategies to prevent all forms of firearm-related violence, injuries, and deaths. For the purposes of this announcement, this includes mass shooting incidents, other firearm homicides/assaults, firearm suicides/self-harm, unintentional firearm deaths and injuries, and firearm-related crime. Research funded under this announcement will strengthen the evidence base for strategies to keep individuals, families, schools, and communities safe from firearm-related violence, injuries, deaths, and crime.
  • Eligibility: Special district governments, City or township governments, Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), County governments, Independent school districts, Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education. Small businesses, Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments), Public and State controlled institutions of higher education, Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, Private institutions of higher education, Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities, For profit organizations other than small businesses, State governments


Community Economic Development Projects

  • Closing date: May 1, 2025 (estimated)
  • Description: The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Community Services (OCS) will solicit applications to award approximately $15.2 million in Community Economic Development (CED) discretionary funds to Community Development Corporations (CDC) for well-planned, financially viable, and innovative projects to enhance job creation and business development for individuals with low income. CED awards will be made as part of a broader strategy to address objectives such as decreasing dependency on federal programs, chronic unemployment, and community deterioration in urban and rural areas.
  • Eligibility: To be eligible for the CED program, an applicant must meet three conditions: 1. Applicants must be a private, non-profit CDC with 501(c)(3) status; 2. Applicants must have articles of incorporation or bylaws demonstrating that the CDC has, as a principal purpose, the planning, developing, or managing of low-income housing or community economic development activities; and 3. The Board of Directors must have representation from each of the following: community residents, business leaders, and civic leaders.


FY25 Street Outreach Program

  • Closing date: May 1, 2025 (estimated)
  • Description: The Street Outreach Program (SOP) provides street-based services to runaway, homeless, and street youth who have been subjected to or are at risk of being subjected to sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, and severe forms of human trafficking in persons. These services, targeted in areas where street youth congregate, are designed to assist such youth in making healthy choices and providing them access to shelter as well as basic needs, including food, hygiene packages and information on a range of available services.
  • Eligibility: State governments, County governments, Special district governments, Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities, Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments), Independent school districts, City or township governments, Public and State controlled institutions of higher education, Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, and Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification).


Department of Housing and Urban Development


Continuum of Care (CoC) Builds

  • Closing date: November 21, 2024
  • Description: The Initiative for Supportive Housing Development (INSiDE) NOFO targets efforts within Continuum of Care (CoC) geographic areas to address and reduce homelessness by adding new units of permanent supportive housing (PSH) through new construction, acquisition, or rehabilitation through one-time INSiDE awards under the CoC program. PSH is permanent housing in which supportive services are provided to assist individuals and families experiencing homelessness with a disability to live independently.
  • Eligibility: State governments, County governments, Special district governments, Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities, Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments), City or township governments, Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, and Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification).

BJA FY 24 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program - Local Solicitation

  • Closing date: October 16, 2024
  • Description: OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety, protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. With this solicitation, BJA seeks to award Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program funds to eligible units of local government and tribal governments.
  • Eligibility: City or township governments, County governments, Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), Special district governments

Reconnecting Communities Pilot (RCP) Program

  • Closing Date: September 30, 2024
  • Description: The RCP Program aims to advance and support reconnection of communities divided by transportation infrastructure – with a priority on helping disadvantaged communities improve access to daily needs (jobs, schools, healthcare, grocery stores, and recreation). Funds for the fiscal years (FY) 2024, 2025, and 2026 RCP grant program are to be awarded on a competitive basis to support planning and capital construction activities that aim to restore community connectivity through the removal, retrofit, mitigation or replacement of highways, roadways, or other infrastructure facilities that create barriers to mobility, access or economic development. 
  • Eligibility: Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, City or township governments, Public and State controlled institutions of higher education, State governments, County governments, Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments)


National Endowment for the Arts


NEA Literature Fellowships Translation Projects, FY2026

  • Closing date: January 16, 2025
  • Description: The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) supports projects for the translation of specific works of prose, poetry, or drama from other languages into English through fellowships to published translators. The work to be translated should be of interest for its literary excellence and merit. We encourage translation projects that feature languages, perspectives, and writers that are not well represented in English, as well as work that has not previously been translated into English. The NEA is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and fostering mutual support for the diverse beliefs and values of all individuals and groups. Individual U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. who meet specific publication requirements are eligible to apply. An individual may submit only one application for FY 2026 Literature Fellowships funding.

National Endowment for the Humanities


Spotlight on Humanities in Higher Education

  • Closing date: October 1, 2024
  • Description: The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Division of Education Programs is accepting applications for the Spotlight on Humanities in Higher Education program. This program supports small projects that help students from underserved populations gain access to and benefit from the humanities. Projects must enhance the teaching and study of the humanities at one or more colleges and universities that enroll fewer than 10,000 undergraduate students and that belong to at least one of the following categories: community colleges, minority-serving institutions, rural colleges and universities, or colleges and universities with more than 40% of students receiving Pell grants. These institutions, nonprofit organizations, and state, local, or Native American Tribal governments aiming to advance the humanities at these institutions are eligible to apply.
  • Eligibility: Public and State controlled institutions of higher education, County governments, Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, State governments, Special district governments, Private institutions of higher education, City or township governments, Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
