in worship and in ways to connect and serve.

Pastor's Message

A Full House, a Full Heart!

What a blessing it was to celebrate the most powerful story of all times with you all last weekend. Our sanctuary was full: full of music, full of fragrance from the flowers, full of love, full of welcome and full of people, and most importantly full of God's presence! I am so grateful.

When Pastor Maria got sick last Friday, I had a feeling of calm even in the midst of disappointment. While we both would have loved to lead worship together and celebrate with all of you, circumstances were different. And yet, every where I turned people were offering to help. I had backup preachers lined up in case I got sick, backup presiders for Holy Communion and then every where I looked people popped up and said, "I'm here." "Can I help?" Thankfully I had the presence of mind to say, "Yes!" because we are better together.

The Easter Gospel is a story that reminds us of the power of showing up. Showing up at the tomb, showing up in our grief, showing up along the unforeseen roads in life and the promise that comes in not walking alone. This past Sunday our house was full, which was amazing, you all showed up in abundant way! I am so grateful for the love that filled my heart! I pray that your heart was filled too! Thanks be to God!

Blessings,

Pastor Joanna Mitchell
