No Barriers, No Problem
A Virtual Summer Speakers' Forum
|
|
The Essex County Accessibility Advisory Committee and the County of Essex are pleased to present ‘No Barriers, No Problem’ - a Virtual Summer Speakers’ Forum.
Julie Sawchuk and Michael Jacques will speak and answer questions during the virtual No Barriers, No Problem speakers’ forum on June 27th.
Julie Sawchuk is an accessibility strategist and a storyteller who helps people understand that true accessibility allows participation without having to dismantle barriers or change attitudes first. After sustaining a spinal cord injury in 2015, she turned from teaching high school science to educating everyone that accessibility matters.
Michael Jacques was diagnosed with autism and an intellectual disability when he was young. Never one to shy away from obstacles, he is now a public speaker and activist.
The virtual No Barriers, No Problem speakers’ forum starts at 2:00 pm on June 27th. The event is free and those who wish to attend can sign up by completing the online registration form.
The deadline for registration is June 23.

The WindsorEssex Community Foundation wants to hear from you! Tell them what you think of Windsor-Essex as a place to live, learn, work, play, and grow by taking the 2022 Vital Signs Survey.
The Vital Signs Program is a community report that combines national, provincial, and local data with residents’ views on important local issues. This report is a catalyst to engage our community in an ongoing dialogue about who they are, what they do, why they do it, and where it can lead. This is the seventh year the WECF has been part of the national Vital Signs program. The results are combined with other data from sources such as Statistics Canada to create an all-encompassing report for our region.
