The webinar is free for SaskCulture Members. The session will include:
• Understanding financial risk, specifically common warning signs of financial risk a non-profit should be aware of to help ensure sustainability and effectiveness in fulfilling its mission.
• Identifying the warning signs of declining financial health.
• Ways to assess financial health to help ensure financial stability.

SGAP open for applications for grassroots and innovative initiatives |
The Small Grant Accessibility Program (SGAP) is open for applications until December 20. SGAP aims to provide support to grassroots, unique and innovative cultural initiatives that respond to emergent needs or changes in the cultural sector, and create access and pathway for first-time and under-served applicants.
This grant has a maximum grant request of $2,000 and is intended for small-scale initiatives.

SK Indigenous Subject Headings now available for use in libraries | The Saskatchewan Indigenous Subject Headings project was started in 2020 by a working group of Saskatchewan library staff who wanted to examine how subject headings related to Indigenous Peoples could be updated to be more inclusive and respectful. The group worked with Indigenous Peoples and groups in the province to determine what terms are preferred. These terms have been translated into subject headings for use in libraries across Saskatchewan. Read more | Report shows high economic impact of organizations funded by SK Arts | The Saskatchewan Arts Alliance (SAA) released a report this month estimating the economic impact of arts organizations funded by SK Arts. According to the most recent Statistics Canada data available, for every $1M invested by the province, SK Arts’ funded organizations were able to leverage that provincial funding to receive over $2M from the federal government, $1.8M from the private sector, $1.75M from the municipal government, and were able to generate $1.2M in earned revenue. This report, shared with the provincial government, is part of the SAA’s ongoing efforts to advocate for increased funding for the arts. Knowledge Sovereignty Workshop (kihci-okâwîmâw askiy Knowledge Centre)

Volunteer Management (Museums Association of Saskatchewan)
This course will cover volunteer trends and motivation, and community analysis. You will also examine the relationship between the museum and community and its impact on volunteerism, learn how to write a volunteer policy, and understand the volunteer management cycle.
