Aloha Neighbor and Friend of Hanahau‘oli School,
By way of introduction, I am Kuhio Asam, the President of the Board of Trustees at Hanahau‘oli School. As you may know, the School purchased the property at 1911 Ke‘eaumoku Street, and recently acquired the properties at 1921 and 1931 Ke‘eaumoku Street. You may have noticed an increase in activity on the properties, all of which are currently focused on clearing debris, trimming trees, removing bees, and most importantly, securing the premises and structures for safety. We are doing everything we can to minimize any inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding and support as we work to beautify and stabilize these properties in our neighborhood.
We’d like to invite you to campus on Sunday, April 24 from 3:00 - 4:30 pm to meet with key trustees and staff members to continue to build our relationship, tour our campus, and learn more about our immediate and long-term plans, which remain the same:
In the near-term, we will secure the properties as safe spaces for children to play and learn and for excess parking for staff.
In the long-term, we will engage in an inclusive and intentional process involving strategic and master campus planning.
