Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church is a congregation that
values a diversity of belief. Whether you're full of faith or full of doubt,
you'll find people who have been there and accept you for where you are.

We welcome all people to worship, pray, eat, seek spiritual answers and enjoy life within this community of faith. All are welcome!
"Just Let Go and I Will Show You"
In the fall of 2021, my life did a very big pivot. Things were changing (that dreaded change word). I started studying and praying, "God, what is next?" One verse that spoke to me came from Jeremiah 29:11, saying, "The Lord declares, I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm, plans to give hope and a future." The Spirit was telling me, "just let go and I will show you."

It was soon afterwards that CHPC's new Women's Fellowship Ministry started forming in my mind. As an Elder in our church, I was feeling God's call to do something new. I wasn't alone either as another member of our church was praying about where to participate and another was praying for a plan to engage in something meaningful. The Holy Spirit brought us together, and we keep telling ourselves to be faithful as we step out on this new adventure. I'm very excited to see where God takes us in the future and I invite you to join us every step of the way!

Grace and peace,

-Alda Smith

P.S. Ladies, don't forget our Women’s Ministry event “Bingo Banter: Let’s Laugh” this Sunday, June 12 at 2pm in the gym. Be prepared to share a comical story about yourself!
