It was announced recently that James Lloyd-Butler passed away on January 25. He contributed significantly to the community in many ways, especially to share his love of agriculture. In 2018, he was recognized for his contribution to the avocado world with the following dedication from the California Avocado Society. I learned a lot from him. I, and many others, will miss him.
