Gender Justice and Nonviolence
an online workshop for GSP and Friends
Tues. 6-27 5-6:30 PM
A Time to Share, Learn and Grow with other Courageous People
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. held that nonviolence is “a way of life for courageous people.” This way of life includes all of who we are and who we are becoming, including our beautiful and diverse gender identities and expressions. As more people are targeted in our society, we need even more faithful and strategic nonviolence; and for that we need practical tools rooted in proven strategies and informed by lived experiences. That is exactly what you’ll find in this workshop.
Facilitators
Rev. Jerry Maynard a Two-Spirit Indigenous and Latinx Independent Catholic priest from Texas, and
Rev. Lauren Grubaugh-Thomas (she-her), a nurturer of faithful dissidents in Littleton, Colorado. Lauren is in the Trinity Program with Jessica.
Organizational Support
The workshop itself comes to us from the Pace e Bene Nonviolence Service. “Pace e bene!” (pah-chay bay-nay) is an Italian greeting from Saints Francis and Clare. The blessing wishes, “Peace and all Good!” to anyone we encounter.

The newly forming GSP Committee for Adult Education and Spiritual Growth is happy to alert all of Grace Saint Paul’s (and friends) to this workshop. We are a committee in the process of becoming.
Co-Chairs are Patricia Donohue ([email protected]) and Sandi Nesbit ([email protected]). We are looking for a small group of GSPers to help us plan, promote and produce learning and spiritual growth opportunities. We hope to get rolling next Fall though we’re anxious to gather ideas and interests through the Summer. If you are interested in being part of the committee on an ongoing basis OR if you have a particular idea/interest you would like your committee to address, please send us an email. No email? Please send your message through the church administrator or Fr Steve. Pace e bene to you all.
